Yoda

Feels like it has been a really long time since I published a painting but am happy that I have got back into the swing of things.
I have been doodling sketches of various Star Wars characters here and there for the past year.  There was just something about this Yoda that I wanted to turn into a finished painting (which is also my first piece of fan art)

Christmas 2012

Merry Christmas everyone.

Return of the Santapus.  I am glad that I remembered to but the furry ball on the end of his hat this time.

I wish that I had more time to do this one, but with an obvious completion date and a butt load of work before the break I have had very little time to paint in the past month.

Snack

I took a slightly different approach to the way I painted the lighting in this image and am quite happy with the results. Lately my paintings have had a ever growing number of layers towards the end of a finished image and I tried to keep them down and flatten more for this one. The background is perhaps a little.. not good, but I am also trying to work more on the areas that matter more rather than spend half my time on the parts that don't. (that' the idea anyway)

Contemplation

There are too many influences to list for these guys, but the main obvious one is No Face from Spirited Away :)
