Christmas 2012

Merry Christmas everyone.

Return of the Santapus.  I am glad that I remembered to but the furry ball on the end of his hat this time.

I wish that I had more time to do this one, but with an obvious completion date and a butt load of work before the break I have had very little time to paint in the past month.

Snack

I took a slightly different approach to the way I painted the lighting in this image and am quite happy with the results. Lately my paintings have had a ever growing number of layers towards the end of a finished image and I tried to keep them down and flatten more for this one. The background is perhaps a little.. not good, but I am also trying to work more on the areas that matter more rather than spend half my time on the parts that don't. (that' the idea anyway)

Contemplation

Quatropus - Drifter

My second painting of the unique and wonderful Quatropus family.

This is my first attempt at an underwater painting. Although on the simpler side of detail I am quite happy with the way it turned out and am sure I will do another one soon.
